For a long time, we felt the weight of everyday life in the city. The constant rush, the noise, the screens, the schedules. Eventually, we realized we were craving something different. A slower rhythm. A deeper connection with the land. A space where we could breathe, rest, and live more intentionally. That longing led us to Baix Ebre, a hidden corner of Catalonia surrounded by mountains and silence. We discovered an abandoned farmhouse tucked deep in this landscape, forgotten by time but full of soul. It was love at first sight. Even in its crumbling walls and wild overgrowth, we saw the promise of something beautiful: a home rooted in simplicity, peace, and nature.

The house, as it stands now, needs a lot of care. More than a few layers of paint or quick fixes. But the energy of the place is undeniable. The air is clear, the stars shine bright at night, and the silence is filled with birdsong and wind in the trees. We’ve begun the long but exciting process of restoring the house, working through the necessary paperwork to bring it back to life as a rural retreat. Our dream is to open it to others who seek what we were searching for: a place to slow down, reconnect, and find beauty in the small moments. We believe this house can become a home not just for us, but for a community of travelers, nature lovers, and kindred spirits who share a love for slow living.
